GCL-Poly Obtained Approval for 310MW Ground-Mounted SolarProjects and 30MW Roof-Top Projects in Datong Shanxi Province
(27 August 2012, Hong Kong) GCL-Poly Energy Holdings Limited (“GCL-Poly”, “the Group”, stock code: 3800.HK) is pleased to announce that the National Energy Beruau has approved GCL-Poly to start the preparatory work for construction on 310MW ground-mounted and 30MW roof-top solar projects (”Projects”) in Datong Shanxi province.
The approval of the Projects is regarded as the strongest support to the solar industry from the Chinese govenment since the European debt crsis and the US’s anti-dumping and anti-subsidy cases against the Chinese solar products. This also marks as a milestone in large scaled solar farms projects construction plan that is adopted by the Chinese govenment. It is expected that the Projects will be the largest solar farm in China and one of the largest single-unit solar farms in the world.
